Join us for an evening of six thrilling poetry readings, hosted by Can’t Lit podcast co-host and author Dina Del Bucchia. Featuring Tenille Campbell (Nedi Nezu: Good Medicine; Arsenal Pulp Press), Mary Germaine (Congratulations, Rhododendrons; House of Anansi), Dallas Hunt (Creeland; Nightwood Editions), Jen Sookfong Lee (The Shadow List; Wolsak and Wynn), Rebecca Salazar (Sulphur Tongue; Penguin Random House Canada) and Terence Young (Smithereens; Harbour Publishing), this will be an evening of evocation, intimacy and joy. |

Capture Photography Festival - April 2 - 30 2021
In the photo on above, from the Selected Exhibition program, @TomHsu’s 𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳 is his first solo exhibition at @macaulayfineart which includes photographs shot on 35-mm film of intimate moments captured between friends and acquaintances over the past three summers in Vancouver. Hsu is known for his investigation of bodies and the way they intersect and interact both with each other and the space in which they exist. His poetic images in this exhibition seek to capture the whimsy, mutual care, and curious play between him and those around him.

Capture Photography Festival is Western Canada’s largest lens-based art festival. Annually in April, lens-based art is exhibited at dozens of galleries and other venues throughout Metro Vancouver as part of the Exhibition Program, alongside an extensive Public Art Program, a youth-oriented Learning Program, and an Events Program that spans tours, films, artist talks, and community events. Capture strives to support compelling and diverse lens-based practices, with a focus on critical and challenging work, while nurturing emerging talent. |

Covid 19 Call for Submissions: Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture
Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture gives artists with disabilities a voice. They are are committed to supporting and promoting artists in every discipline, with all disabilities.
In coronavirus times, they are looking for literary, visual or performative artistic submissions from disability identified artists in the community. These works will investigate the creative process in this time of isolation, economic and health precariousness, and social uncertainty. To submit you need to be a member; memberships for those on a fixed income is $10; some 'by donation' memberships are available for those unable to pay. Selected writers/artists will be paid $100 for one blog post. |
