In-Person / Live Online Guided Meditation
When: Every Wednesday evening
Time: 7pm Where: Vancouver Shambhala Centre, 256 West 7th Avenue, Unit 208 [2nd floor] Cost: Free/donations welcome As of July 1st 2020, the Shambhala Centre has re-opened their doors on Wednesday evenings for in-person meditation. The centre is located about two blocks east of Cambie and 7th. If you prefer to join from home via Zoom, you can do that too. This Open House, hosted at the Vancouver Shambhala Centre, welcomes newcomers into the community with warmth. The night takes first time meditators through guided instruction which flows into a relevant talk about meditation practice. Experienced meditators are welcome to come and practice meditation together, as well. These in-person Open House sessions will be limited to 10-12 participants. The evening begins at 7:00 pm with sitting meditation, with 10-12 people in the Main Meditation Hall. Also at 7:00pm, in the small meditation hall, they offer meditation instruction for first-time meditators and people who would like a refresher - limited to the instructor + 3 participants. After meditation instruction, this group joins sitting and walking meditation in the Main Meditation Hall. There is no fee for Open House, though donations are appreciated. Everything you need is provided. If you are joining in person, you can optionally register online to ‘reserve’ a space.
