Rapid antigen testing kits are free for residents of B.C. 18 years and older who have a Personal Health Number (PHN).
If you're under the age of 30, kits will be available soon.
1 kit contains 5 individual tests
You are allowed 1 kit every 28 days. This makes sure that everyone who wants a kit can get one. You can't pay for additional kits. A test should only be used by people who develop symptoms of COVID-19 and want to confirm a positive or negative result. The tests are not suitable for international travel requirements.

Reduced-Cost Massage Therapy at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy
Massage treatment is often expensive. One way to help afford massage is with a student at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. Costs range from $25-$50, depending on things such as whether you are seeking relaxation or therapeutic massage.
Note that all appointments are about an hour and a half and include 10 – 15 minute assessment & treatment planning, 5 – 10 minute consultation with supervising Registered Massage Therapist, 45 – 55 minute massage, and 5 minute reassessment & homecare. For individuals who are pregnant or seeking treatment for orthopedic/neurological concerns, please request an advanced student. The college and clinic are located near Burrard and Pender streets, at #300 – 1050 West Pender Street. The students are not yet licensed, but you can use the receipt for your taxes as it falls under health/medical. |
Sliding Scale Acupuncture
Poke Community Acupuncture charges $25-45 per treatment with an additional $10 admin fee for your first visit only. You pay what you can afford. No questions asked.
The clinic is located on Kingsway, near Knight Street. Note that since the Covid-19 pandemic, they no longer have a self-serve machine to pay at the front, as it was not very pandemic friendly. They now ask that you store your credit card on file, to facilitate treatment payment. There is a user-friendly online process that will walk you through this process. |

OASIS (Osteoarthritis Service Integration System through Vancouver Coastal Health) – no cost
Education classes are free to the public on osteoarthritis and exercise, as well as other topics such as pain management and weight management. Free Nordic Pole walking classes (poles provided) are run monthly at local community centres. OASIS has clinics in Richmond, Vancouver, and North Vancouver.
